1. Introduction
Welcome to Cannon Electrical Services, LLC, a professional electrical service provider. By engaging with our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

2. Definitions 
In this document, the following terms have the meanings described below:

  • "Client": Refers to the individual or entity requesting and receiving services from Cannon Electrical Services, LLC.

  • "Services": Includes all electrical services provided by Cannon Electrical Services, LLC, as outlined in the Services section.
     

3. Services

Cannon Electrical Services, LLC provides electrical services including, but not limited to:

  • Residential electrical installations

  • Electrical repairs and maintenance

  • Wiring and re-wiring services

  • Lighting design and installation

  • Emergency electrical services

Our services are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue certain services at any time without prior notice.
 

4. Pricing

The pricing for our services will be provided in advance and is subject to change based on the scope of work. Any changes or additional costs incurred during the service will be communicated and agreed upon before proceeding. All payments are due upon completion of the work unless otherwise stated in the contract.
 

5. Time & Material Jobs

For projects where a time and materials approach is utilized, the customer will be billed based on the actual time spent on the job and the materials used. The following terms apply:

  • Hourly Rates: The hourly labor rate for services may vary depending on the type of work and personnel required. Rates will be communicated at the time of the estimate or before the commencement of the work. These rates are subject to change based on the complexity of the project or personnel involved.
     

  • Materials: All materials used for the project will be billed at cost, plus a markup, if applicable. The materials cost will be calculated based on actual usage, and an estimate for materials may be provided at the outset of the project.
     

  • Billing: The customer will be billed for the actual time and materials used, with invoices provided periodically or upon completion of the work. Payments are due upon receipt unless otherwise agreed upon.
     

  • Changes in Scope: Any changes or additions to the original scope of work will be discussed with the customer and billed accordingly, with time and materials calculated based on the updated requirements.
     

  • Estimates: While an estimate may be provided, the final cost may vary based on actual time spent and materials used. The customer will be notified if the cost is expected to exceed the initial estimate by more than 10%, and approval will be sought before proceeding with the additional work.
     

6. Estimates

  • Expiration: All estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued. After this period, pricing may be subject to change, including labor and material costs, and may require re-evaluation.
     

  • Confidentiality: Estimates are confidential and intended solely for the recipient. Sharing, distributing, or using our estimates for competitive bidding without our written consent is strictly prohibited.
     

7. Payments

Payments are due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash

  • Checks (Make payable to Cannon Electrical Services, LLC)

  • Venmo

  • Credit Cards (A 3.5% processing fee will be added to the final total)

Late Fees: Unpaid balances may incur a late fee of 2% per month or the maximum amount allowed by law.
 

8. Warranty Information

We stand behind the quality of our work and offer the following warranties:
 

  • 1-Year Parts & Labor Warranty: Covers defects in material or workmanship under normal usage. If a part fails within the 1-year period due to a defect, we will replace it free of charge.
     

  • Lifetime Workmanship Warranty: Covers any electrical work performed by Cannon Electrical Services, LLC. If any work fails due to poor workmanship or installation error, we will correct the issue at no charge.
     

  • Landscape Lighting Lifetime Warranty:
         • We offer a lifetime warranty on all landscape lighting products that we install.
       • Labor Warranty: Labor for landscape lighting installations is covered for one year from the installation date. After one year, labor charges will apply, and pricing for repairs will be provided after evaluating the situation.

     

Warranty Limitations:

  • Our warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidental damage, or modifications made by unauthorized parties.

  • Warranty claims must be reported promptly, and the items must be used under normal conditions to qualify for coverage.

  • To make a warranty claim, the customer must notify Cannon Electrical Services, LLC in writing within 2 days of discovering the issue.

9. Responsibilities of the Customer

  • You agree to provide access to the premises where the electrical work will be performed.

  • You agree to provide accurate information regarding the electrical systems and any issues.

  • You must ensure that the work environment is safe for our technicians to perform their services.

  • You must ensure that work areas are clear of heavy furniture and valuables. Cannon Electrical Services, LLC is not responsible for loss or damage to items left in the work area.
     

10. Patching & Repairs

As part of our installation services, Cannon Electrical Services will patch any holes we create while performing electrical work. However, we provide only the first coat of patching. Additional coats, sanding, and final finishing (such as painting) are the responsibility of the homeowner.
 

11. Safety

We prioritize the safety of both our clients and our technicians. All work will be performed in accordance with the relevant safety standards and regulations. You must notify us of any hazards or unsafe conditions before the work begins.
 

12. Power Shut-Off During Work

During certain projects, we may need to shut off power to specific areas or the entire property to safely complete the work. This will be communicated to the client before proceeding. We strongly advise clients to shut down or unplug any important electrical devices or systems prior to the scheduled work to prevent potential data loss or damage. Cannon Electrical Services, LLC is not responsible for issues resulting from failure to follow this guidance.
 

13. Limitation of Liability

While we take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and quality of our work, Cannon Electrical Services, LLC is not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from the use or failure of the electrical work provided, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided and shall not include any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We are not responsible for damages resulting from unforeseen structural conditions, hidden wiring issues, or modifications made after our service is complete.


14. Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made after this period may incur a cancellation fee.
 

15. Confidentiality

Any personal information provided to us will be kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of delivering our services. We will not share your information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

Additionally, all pricing provided by Cannon Electrical Services, LLC in proposals or quotes is confidential and intended for the sole use of the recipient.

Proposal Confidentiality Terms:

  • Non-Disclosure of Pricing: You agree not to share, disclose, or distribute the pricing details provided in our proposal to any third parties, including competitors or other contractors.

  • Confidentiality of Terms: The terms, conditions, and pricing presented are proprietary to Cannon Electrical Services, LLC and cannot be shared outside of the contractual agreement between us.

Sharing or disclosing this information without our prior written consent will result in the immediate cancellation of the proposal and may affect future business engagements with Cannon Electrical Services, LLC.
 

16. Media Usage

Cannon Electrical Services may take photographs of completed work for use in our portfolio, website, and marketing materials. We will ensure that no personal photos, sensitive information, or identifiable background items are visible in the images. If you do not wish for your project to be featured in our marketing materials, please notify us in writing prior to work commencement.
 

17. Dispute Resolution

  • Informal Resolution: In the event of a dispute or disagreement, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally. Either party may contact the other in writing, seeking clarification or resolution of the issue. The parties agree to work together in good faith to resolve any disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
     

  • Mediation: If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to submit the matter to mediation. Mediation will be conducted in Pennsylvania by a mediator mutually agreed upon by both parties. The costs of mediation will be shared equally unless otherwise agreed.
     

  • Arbitration: If mediation is unsuccessful or if either party prefers, the dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration. The arbitration will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), or another agreed-upon arbitration body, in Pennsylvania. The arbitration will be final, and both parties agree to abide by the arbitrator’s decision. The costs of arbitration, including the arbitrator’s fees, will be shared equally unless the arbitrator determines otherwise.
     

  • Venue and Jurisdiction: Any legal action or arbitration proceeding shall take place in the County of Delaware, Pennsylvania, and both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in that county.
     

  • Exclusions: Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek appropriate legal remedies, including injunctive relief, in a court of competent jurisdiction to address a breach or threatened breach of any intellectual property rights or other rights that cannot be adequately resolved through mediation or arbitration.
     

18. Governing Law

These terms and conditions, including the dispute resolution provisions, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
 

19. Compliance with Codes

Cannon Electrical Services, LLC is committed to performing all work in strict compliance with applicable local, state, and national electrical codes, including the latest edition of the National Electrical Code (NEC). We ensure that all installations, repairs, and modifications meet or exceed the required safety and quality standards. Our team stays informed of any updates to electrical codes to provide the highest level of service and ensure the safety and satisfaction of our clients.
 

20. Amendments

We reserve the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you, and your continued use of our services after such modifications will constitute your acceptance of the updated terms.
